New Delhi, September 06: Shri Ramayana Yatra has been launched by the Central Government’s ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ program and the Indian Railways. This is in order to promote religious tourism, and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is offering a score of tour packages across India.
This journey is 17 days long and takes the tourists to places which relate to the life of Lord Ram, which also includes his birthplace Ayodhya. The journey is to start on November 7 from Safdarjung railway station, Delhi.
The tourists choosing Shri Ramayana Yatra can select from multiple package options provided which start from Rs. 82,950 and go up to Rs. 1,12,955. The tourists will get to select different packages the type of train coach and occupancy.
During the 17-day long journey, the tourist will see Ram Janam Bhoomi Temple, Saryu Ghat, etc. in Ayodhya, Ram-Janki Mandir in Janakpur, Tulsi Manas Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, etc. in Varanasi.

The travellers can book their trip through the official website of IRCTC tourism. The journey will cover a distance of close to 7,500 km in 17 days. During this Yatra, the tourists will get an 8-night stay in deluxe accommodation and another 8-night stay in Rail Coaches. Passengers will also be served all meals, and they will be only vegetarian. They will also receive complete insurance cover for the whole journey.
Only the passengers who are fully vaccinated will be allowed on the train. This rule is applicable only for adults above 18 years of age.
