New Delhi, September 07: Union Minister for Road transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari said that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the road infrastructure is in the works of being developed much more fast, more safe and much more sustainable than before.
During a meeting with the officials of the Ministry, NHAI, NHIDCL and PWDs, Gadkari said that it is our collective mission to give India a road infrastructure like the global standards.
The minister also reemphasised about the safety-first approach for Road Design and construction, along with the construction of environment-friendly roads, industry-friendly approach, new technology for safer, faster and more economic roads having faster construction.

Gadkari said that having an investment of Rs. 11,000 Crores, the 313 km long highway will transform the road infrastructure of the entire states of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. He added that around 80% of the corridor has already been completed. It is scheduled to open to the public by March 2022.
