Nitin Gadkari inaugurates Rajpath Infracon's Guinness World Record Tower in Amravati; Know why it is special-

Amravati, Nov 23: In a significant development, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Guinness World Record tower of Rajpath Infracon on Thursday (November 23) at Amravati.

 

 

This Guinness World Record tower comes in the backdrop of the World Record made by the road construction company along with the National Highways of India on June 7th, 2022.

 

  

The Rajpath Infracon built this GWR tower for the 728 workers who dedicated "their sweat and toil" for the World Record. Their names have been etched on a column.

 

 

According to the Rajpath Infracon, "This column stands tall, not just as a symbol of our achievement, but as a testimony to the spirit of ' ‘श्रम हीच प्रतिष्ठा’' that defines our work ethic. Each drop of sweat shed during those 105 hours and 33 minutes of continuous labor symbolizes your unwavering commitment to India's progress."

 

 

 

The record-breaking feat was achieved in the construction of 84.4 kilometers of Bituminous Concrete on the Amravati-Akola highway in just 105 hours and 33 minutes.

 

Following the achievement of this challenging feat, Raj Path Infracon Pvt. Ltd. became the first ever Indian private company in the infrastructure-road construction segment to register a Guinness World Records title.

 

 

36,634 Metric tons of bituminous concrete was paved in 105 hours and 33 minutes with the help of 728 workers. 80 Tippers, 5 Batch Mix plants, just 1 sensor paver with a hopper, 6 Tandem Rollers, and 2 Pneumatic Tyre Rollers were employed.

 

 

The Minister said the Amravati to Akola section is part of NH 53, this is an important east-east corridor that connects major cities like Kolkata, Raipur, Nagpur, and Surat. He said that once completed, this stretch will play a major role in easing the movement of traffic and freight on this route.

Gadkari had congratulated all the engineers, contractors, consultants, workers from NHAI and Raj Path Infracon Pvt. Ltd. for efficient implementation of the project that has helped in successful completion of this world record.
