Bundelkhand Expressway creates new record by laying 19,756 Tonnes of bituminous concrete in just 93 hours!

Bundelkhand, November 22: Bundelkhand Expressway, in Uttar Pradesh, has created a new record by laying 19,756 tonnes of bituminous concrete, paving a 14.51 Km wide carriageway in 93 hours. The record was created by Ashoka Buildcon Ltd.

The 49 Km long package - 3 of Bundelkhand Expressway being built with Rs 1,079 crore goes through Kaouhri, Mahoba district to Brolikharka, Hamirpur district. With this new record, Ashoka Buildcon Ltd has broken its record created in April 2021. The 296 Km long Bundelkhand Expressway begins at village Kudrail in Etawah on Agra-Lucknow expressway, and ends near Bharatkoop in Chitrakoot.
 
 
This expressway will accelerate development in Bundelkhand, especially in less developed districts like Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Jalaun. It will be 4 lanes (expandable up to 6 lanes) with 6 lanes wider structures.

A service road will be constructed at one side of the expressway, so residents of nearby villages of the project area will get smooth transportation facility.

Over 75% physical work of Bundelkhand Expressway is complete, and the remaining construction is going on at a fast pace. The construction cost is estimated to be over Rs 7,700 crore. The project has been divided into 6 packages.

With construction of the expressway, the Bundelkhand area will be linked with a fast and smooth traffic corridor to Agra-Lucknow expressway and Yamuna expressway, thus further connected to NCR Delhi.
