Shahjahanpur, December 18: Aiming to improve connectivity and to boost economic development across Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Ganga Expressway in Shahjahanpur, on Saturday. Taking to Twitter, the PM said, “This is an important infra project that will improve connectivity across Uttar Pradesh. It will also boost economic development and tourism.”
According to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the inspiration behind the expressway is the vision of the PM to provide fast-paced connectivity across India. This 594-kilometre long 6-lane expressway will be built at a cost of over Rs. 36,200 crores. Starting near Bijauli village in Meerut, the expressway will extend till near Judapur Dandu village in Prayagraj.
