New Delhi, March 10: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated Rusin Dam. This will provide adequate water for domestic, industrial, and irrigation purposes. This includes hydroelectric power production and river navigation. This dam will create employment facilities in adjoining areas. The dam will provide irrigation to 2290 hectares of agricultural land and will also become a source of clean drinking water in the region.
Chitrakoot Dham is situated on the bank of the Mandakini River. The terrain is mountainous. It is a place of religious, cultural, historical, and archaeological importance, situated in the Bundelkhand region Karwi is a town situated 12 miles west of Chitrakoot Dham.
In present-day India, Chitrakoot Dham is more important than Karwi. Chitrakoot Dham is the district headquarters and has a municipal board.
This place is spread over the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, is immersed in the devotion of Lord Rama, who is believed to have spent 11 and a half years of the 14 years of his exile here. According to the epic Ramayana, Chitrakoot is the place where Bharat, brother of Lord Rama came to visit him and asked him to return to Ayodhya to rule the kingdom.
