8 new significant road projects in Maharashtra worth Rs 4590 crores approved!

New Delhi, April 05: The Road Transport Ministry on Monday announced the central government funding for the state of Maharashtra. Road projects are approving 54 projects of 829 kilometers at a cost of 4590 crore rupees for 2020-21. These projects include four-lane Parli Bypass, six-lane flyover at Katraj, high-level bridges across Panvel-Mahad-Panjim, development of Sinnar-Nashik section of NH-50, two-lane bridge over Purna river. Besides, upgradation, widening, and strengthening of numerous roads and highways will also be taken up.

1. Widening and Strengthening of a section of NH 753 from Kohmara to Goregaon in the state has been sanctioned at a cost of 21.07 Crore of rupees. Kohmara is a Village in Sadak Arjuni Taluka in the Gondia District of Maharashtra. It belongs to Vidarbha region.
2. Widening and Strengthening of Jhalamal - Balod - Manpur - CG Border - Sawargaon - Murumgaon - Dhanora - Gadchiroli - Mul - Chandrapur Road NH 930 in Gadchiroli District in the state has been sanctioned at a cost of 34.03 Cr.
4. Strengthening of a section of Kalyan-Ahmednagar-Nanded Road on NH-61 and strengthening and widening a section of Chandbibi mahal to Mehekari road. It has been sanctioned at a cost of 35.42 Cr.
5. Widening and Strengthening of existing Highway from NH-548 C Kuslamb to NH52 Yedshi section of NH-63 ie Barshi - Yedshi - Murud - Latur - Renapur - Udgir - Deglur - Sargoli and it has been sanctioned at a cost of 49.12 Cr.
6. Upgradation of a section of Chandrapur - Ballarpur - Kothari - Gondpipri - Ashti Road NH 353B. It was sanctioned at a cost of 60.14 Cr.
7. Strengthening of a section of NH-166 H i.e. Pethnaka - Sangli - Miraj road in Sangli district in the state of Maharashtra has been sanctioned at a cost of 22.62 Cr.
Strengthening to Patas - Baramati -Indapur - Akluj-Sangola - Jath section of NH 965 G in the State of Maharashtra has been sanctioned at a cost of 10.37 Cr.
8. For Maharashtra Construction of six-lane Flyover at Katraj junction on NH 548-DD (Vadgaon - Katraj - Kondhwa - Mantarwadi Chowk - Loni Kalbhor - Theur Phata - Lonikand Road) in Pune District. It has been sanctioned at a cost of 169.15 Cr.
