IRCTC plans to run 4 more ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra’ special train

New Delhi, September 23: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation / IRCTC is giving more people the opportunity to visit all the important places, related to the life of Lord Shri Ram, and have a darshan, Due to the high demand of devotees.

The company has planned to run 4 more Ramayana Circuit Special trains to promote religious tourism. These trains will run in addition to the first announced train, which is starting November 7.

An IRCTC official said that the trains will start off from different cities like Madurai, Pune, Shri Ganganagar and Ahmedabad in November and January. The first additional train will start on November 16, and the second and third train will start November 25 and 27 respectively. The fourth one is to begin its journey on January 20.

IRCTC has launched this special tourist train in order to promote the Central Government’s Initiative called ‘Dekho Apna Desh’.

This train was earlier being operated with only Sleeper class but the proposed first tour is to be operated in Deluxe AC tourist train having several modern features and amenities.

An official statement said that, “To ensure the safety measures post Covid-19 in this tourist train, Covid-19 full-vaccination is mandatory for guests of age group 18 and above. Besides this, IRCTC will also provide a safety kit to all the tourists having face masks, hand gloves and sanitizer.”
